"At the back of my neck is a portrait of my favourite flower species, Lilium Lancifollium aka tiger lily. On my left rib, I had skura/cherry blossom trees tattooed; it was my first tattoo gift from my fiance. He designed and inked it on me; only he knows what inspired that artwork. The 5 clear stars on my left wrist represents my immediate family members. The small black stars are accompanying elements.
On my right wrist, 'S' represents my initial and also it explains my existence. The intertwined red and black stars are meant to reflect me and my partner. Lastly, on my left ankle lies a cluster of snowflakes. These ice crystals are beautiful and it is next to impossible for two snowflakes to be exactly alike. To me, it represents all life forms and existence. We are all created with our own uniqueness."

"Most of my tattoos are religious in significance."
"Each marked a significant time in my life. This one says, "protège-moi de mes désirs". It's a Placebo song meaning protect me from what I want". I felt it was appropriate because at different parts of your life you want things that you maybe shouldn't have. There is always someone or something that isn't good for you so hopefully there's some sort of refrain from it.

And I got "surrender" because you're in control of everything so you just have to let go sometimes. I have a fourth one which is also my twitter name, that one is personal. " [source: Tongue in Chic]

"The arm sleeve is my first serious tattoo/art piece on my body. It's a Maori-influenced tattoo; there are 4 parts to it which represents love, life, friendship and peace. On the underarm, there is a Chinese character of Wong; I have another in Arab which means safe and peaceful travelling and the third is Shalom in Hebrew which means peace.
Rephaim means healing in Hebrew. The star on my elbow is like a cartoon action when you hit someone. The box frame could mean respect like, when you see a good work which you want to see it framed and it could also mean, 'I've been framed'."

"Generally, all my tattoos symbolise a place and time - a moment that I had wanted to remember. The angel on my back (the center piece) was my first tattoo when I was 17, and back then, the whole concept of angels just meant a lot to me. I guess I liked the idea of angels - whether or not I believe in them, don't ask.
The one on my leg, the three stars, I did it on the last night in New York, before I flew off to Brazil. I was at a bar downtown, and I did the same tattoo on the same spot with this newfound Brazillian girl I met in Florida - it was suppose to symbolise our connection but I have not seen her since that night.

"This is my second tattoo after four years of getting my first. I was in no rush to getting another one; I knew I would but I wanted the ink to represent something. 'Dreamer' was my way of reminding myself of the 1001 things to do and an oath to doing the 1001 things I want to do."
